“A person plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps.”
Let’s remember to ask the Lord to give us direction for our day. We don’t have to wait until New Year’s Day to make a resolution about our schedules…why not make one today? Ephesians 5:16-17 says, “So, then, be careful how you live. Do not be unwise but wise, making the best use of your time because the times are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.” We should always pray over our priorities , asking the Lord what His will is for us. This will help us to plan through our priorities and create a schedule. Scheduling is crucial in making the best use of our time and assists us in avoiding procrastination. If our daily plans are diligently executed with the help of our Lord we will find success in them. Proverbs 21:5 reminds us, “The plans of the diligent lead only to plenty, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.” When the Lord is directing our days we can go forth with confidence and joy knowing that He will be pleased in everything we do. His guidance, strength and stamina will help us to fulfill His will for our lives.
